Gastrointestinal Health and Nutrition

Gastrointestinal health is a cornerstone of overall wellness, and this track will focus on the interplay between diet and digestive function. Participants will learn about common gastrointestinal disorders, including irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and food intolerances. Experts will discuss dietary interventions for managing these conditions, emphasizing the importance of a personalized approach. Topics such as the low-FODMAP diet for IBS and the role of fibre  in digestive health will be explored in depth. The session will also cover the impact of gut health on overall health, including the gut-brain connection and the role of the micro biome. Participants will learn how to support gut health through dietary choices, including the inclusion of prebiotics and probiotics. Hands-on workshops will allow attendees to create nutrition plans that address gastrointestinal health concerns, ensuring that cultural preferences and individual needs are taken into account. By the end of this session, participants will be equipped to provide effective nutritional support for clients with digestive health issues.
